Education is the backbone of the nation. There is no alternative to education to make an educated nation. On the other hand, education is the basic right of a child. But there are many poor and vulnerable children in Bangladesh who are deprived this right.
Joy & Hope Project started SCDP (Slum Community Development Project) School in Satarkul area in 2010 to fulfill the rights of poor vulnerable slum children. Gradually, the number of the students began to increase.
In 2018 the name of the school was changed to Joy & Hope. It is completely free school. A total of 430 poor children from nursery to class 8 are getting education here. The school is run by experienced and highly educated teachers. It is known as one of the most reputed school in the Dhaka district. It’s EMIS Code No is – 310118918. The school environment is pleasant and safe. The behavior of the teachers is friendly. Government curricular is followed in the school. Teachers also provide the foundation for lifelong learning and pay a crucial role in sharing individual’s future. Our school offers a variety of extracurriculars activities such as guiding, leading, sports, acting, dancing, singing, tailoring, first aid and so on. Teamwork is an important ability that teachers teach.
